Manage and preserve geological collections while enhancing public access for education, research, and exhibitions.
Core Requirements
- Valid Grade 12 certificate
- NQF Level 7 qualification in relevant field
- Proven curatorial experience with geological specimens
- Strong research and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities
- Acquire and catalog geological specimens
- Develop preservation strategies for collections
- Coordinate research initiatives and exhibitions
- Manage inter-institutional specimen loans
- Lead team planning and budget processes
