CSC Analyst

Minimum Requirements:

  • National Diploma in IT (NQF level 6) or equivalent. Certifications such as COMPTIA A+, CompTIA N+, CompTIA Security+, MCSA, Network Security Associate, or related security certifications. 1 to 3 years of experience in a Security Operations Centre or related cybersecurity role.

Primary Function:

  • Protect digital assets and keep cybersecurity infrastructure secure. Monitor security alerts, detect malicious activity in company networks and cloud environments. Analyze IT and communication systems for threats and vulnerabilities.

  • Respond to threats, attacks, and vulnerabilities.
  • Stay up to date with current cybersecurity trends.
  • Actively monitor, detect, and respond to threats.
  • Handle reporting and communication.

  • Penetration testing.
  • Vulnerability assessment.

Core Competencies:

  • Knowledge of Security Operations Centre (SOC) operations and IT security environments.
