Job Title: Court Interpreter
Job Type: Full Time
Required Qualification: Matric (NQF Level 4) or equivalent
Location: Multiple Centers (South Africa)

Requirements:

• Fluency in English + one or more indigenous languages
• Preferred local language per center:
  • Middelburg: Sesotho, IsiXhosa, IsiZulu
  • Thohoyandou: Venda, Tsonga, Shona
  • Modimolle: Sepedi, Tsonga, Xhosa
  • Nebo: Tsonga, Venda, Ndebele
  • Lephalale: Sepedi, Tsonga, Xhosa
  • Praktiseer: Sepedi, Zulu, Shona
  • Mokopane: Afrikaans, Venda, Tsonga
  • Sekhukhune: Zulu, Tsonga, Venda, Shona
  • Waterval: Tsonga, Venda, Shona
  • Lenyenye: Sepedi, Tsonga, Venda
• 3 months practical experience (advantageous)
• Valid driver’s license (advantageous)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide language interpretation in criminal/civil courts
• Translate legal documents and evidence
• Maintain case records and statistics
• Support judicial consultations
• Prepare case summaries as required
