- Education: Bachelor’s Degree / National Diploma in Teaching, Social Work, Child Development, or related fields
- Experience: 3+ years in relevant field
- Location: North West, South Africa
- Registration: Must have active registration with relevant professional body
Requirements
- Proficiency in South African legal frameworks: Criminal Procedure Act, Children’s Act, and others
- Experience working with disabilities and understanding court procedures
- Valid driver’s license
- Prior exposure to child testimony support (preferred)
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver intermediary services for children and vulnerable witnesses during court proceedings
- Manage specialized communication support for language/disability needs
- Maintain equipment in intermediary rooms
- Assist witnesses with testimony techniques, including anatomically-detailed dolls
- Coordinate referrals for additional witness support
