Key Performance Areas
- Manage technical services and support, working with engineers, technologists, and team members in field, workshop, and office activities.
- Handle administrative and related functions.
- Conduct research and development.
Prerequisites
- Grade 12 plus a National Diploma in Engineering or an equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA.
- Compulsory registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineering Technician.
- At least six years of post-qualification technical experience.
- Valid driver’s license (except for people with disabilities).

Knowledge, Competencies, and Skills:
- Technical Competencies: Project management, technical design and analysis, research and development, computer-aided engineering applications, knowledge of legal compliance, technical report writing, technical consulting.
- Generic Competencies: Problem-solving and analysis, decision-making, teamwork, creativity, financial management, customer focus and responsiveness, communication, computer skills, planning and organizing, people management.
