Job Purpose

Collect and verify information from insured or designated persons to settle claims with insurance carriers. Assist with administrative changes, provide policy information, and promote additional products to customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Management: Handle customer requests, resolve issues on the first call, and meet service level agreements.
  • Needs Analysis: Ask questions to understand customer needs and gather relevant information.
  • Product Upsell: Identify suitable products or services, explain benefits, and encourage purchases.
  • Correspondence: Respond to routine requests via phone or email; customize responses for more complex inquiries.
  • Compliance: Follow company policies, regulatory codes, and internal procedures to maintain high standards.
  • Administration: Update policy details (address, holder, banking) and support customers with policy‑related issues.
  • Professional Development: Participate in training, coaching, and industry events to improve skills.
  • Scheduling: Work assigned shifts and adhere to mandatory procedures for quality and compliance.

Education

Grade 12 or SAQA accredited equivalent (required). STI qualification or regulatory examination (preferred).

Experience

Minimum 2 years of customer service experience (required). One year of call centre experience in financial services (preferred).
