Job Purpose

To provide expertise, advice, and support for operational plans and service delivery. Ensure client service requests are resolved effectively to improve service continuously.

Education and Experience

Minimum Requirements:

  • Relevant National Diploma / Advanced Certificate (NQF 6)
  • 2-3 years of corporate tax experience in a similar environment
  • 1-2 years at knowledge worker level

Job Outputs

Process

  • Gather information and prepare reports with recommendations.
  • Apply knowledge to identify trends and risks using methods, systems, and procedures.
  • Communicate interpretations and judgments on work outputs and queries.
  • Plan and schedule activities to improve quality and service.
  • Implement process changes and provide guidelines for new requirements.
  • Use knowledge and judgment to make decisions and consider policy impacts.
  • Apply legislation, policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Resolve queries and problems promptly; escalate if needed.
  • Work with other business units and stakeholders to resolve taxpayer queries.
  • Identify integration issues and recommend solutions.
  • Capture applications for CIT, VAT, PAYE, MPRR, and Customs and Excise; ensure data accuracy.
  • Follow up on incomplete information or documents with taxpayers.
  • Facilitate discussions until cases are finalized.
  • Ensure taxpayer compliance through manual and automated processes.
  • Promote taxpayer education.
