Consultant: Health & Wellness – Fixed Term Contract (10587)

Company Overview:

The South African Revenue Service (SARS) is the nation’s tax authority responsible for administering tax systems and customs services. As an autonomous agency, we focus on revenue collection, tax law enforcement, and supporting economic development through efficient revenue management.

Position Purpose:

Implement and evaluate workplace wellness programs to address employee productivity challenges while promoting health initiatives across the organization.

Requirements:

  • Education Option 1: Bachelor’s degree/Advanced Diploma in Social Work or Psychology/Human Resources Management + 3-5 years’ EAP/Wellness experience
  • Education Option 2: Senior Certificate (NQF 4) + 10 years’ relevant EAP/Wellness experience
  • Proven HR business partnering experience (2-3 years at skilled level)
  • Experience in health risk analysis and case management

Key Responsibilities:

Program Management:

  • Design and execute wellness programs within allocated budgets and timelines
  • Develop health risk matrices for organizational policy development
  • Implement process improvements and procedural updates

Employee Support:

  • Provide guidance on health-related workplace challenges
  • Maintain case management system for employee wellness issues

Compliance & Reporting:

  • Ensure adherence to legislative requirements and organizational policies
  • Produce regular progress reports and risk analyses
