Position Purpose
Provide expert governance support to client boards, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain effective corporate governance frameworks in alignment with South African legislation and King IV principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage statutory compliance under Companies Act and related regulations
- Prepare/deliver board agendas, minutes, and shareholder communications
- Maintain corporate records and oversee CIPC submissions
- Advise on share management and corporate governance best practices
- Develop board evaluation frameworks and improvement reports
- Coordinate stakeholder engagements and compliance audits
Essential Requirements
Education:
– LLB, Paralegal qualification, or CGISA certification
– Company secretarial registration preferred
Experience:
– 2-5 years corporate governance experience
– Board-level consulting background advantageous
– Knowledge of Trust Property Control Act/JSE requirements
