Position Details
- Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time
- Education Requirements:
– Chartered Secretary certification (CGISA-accredited NQF 8)
– Bachelor’s Degree in Law/Corporate Governance (NQF 7)
– Postgraduate qualification preferred - Experience Needed:
– Minimum 5 years as Company Secretary
– 5+ years in Public Sector environment
– 3+ years managerial experience - Location: Centurion, Gauteng
Key Responsibilities
Governance & Compliance:
- Guide Board members on legal obligations and governance standards
- Monitor legislative changes and compliance with PFMA/SAWS Act
- Coordinate Board meetings and committee activities
- Manage conflict of interest declarations and ethics compliance
Strategic Advisory:
- Provide guidance on governance best practices
- Support audit processes and regulatory reporting
Records Management:
- Maintain statutory records and meeting documentation
- Ensure proper documentation of Board resolutions
Stakeholder Relations:
- Facilitate Board training and development programs
- Coordinate communication between shareholders and leadership
