Position Summary:
Company/Regulator Secretary
Location: Gauteng
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Requirements:
- Education: LLB Degree required (LLM or CIS qualification preferred)
- Admitted Attorney/Advocate (South Africa)
- Experience: 5-10 years legal/corporate secretariat experience
- 5 years as Company Secretary (public sector experience advantageous)
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage governance structures and ensure compliance
- Coordinate regulator/committee meetings and documentation
- Develop annual work plans and monitor implementation
- Maintain official records and declarations register
- Provide legal guidance to board members
- Conduct member training and performance evaluations
- Ensure legislative compliance and policy management
Key Competencies:
- Expertise in corporate governance frameworks
- Strong legal interpretation skills
- Minutes/record-keeping proficiency
- Strategic planning capabilities
- Excellent stakeholder communication
