The South African Police Service (SAPS) is looking to fill the role of a Communication Coordinator Official (Warrant Officer) in Pretoria, Gauteng. This is a full-time position designed for individuals passionate about public relations, internal communication, and ensuring smooth communication flow within a public institution. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Matric/Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or a National Certificate (Vocational) recorded on NQF level 4.
  • A three-year Diploma or Degree in Communications, Marketing, or Public Relations (NQF level 6 or higher).
  • Driving license for light motor vehicles.
  • Proficiency in at least two official languages, with one being English.
  • Computer literacy, including experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Relevant experience and courses in communication, media, or public relations will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

The Communication Coordinator Official will be responsible for:

  • Providing internal communication support for SAPS National events and projects.
  • Identifying and addressing SAPS-related issues, crafting appropriate messages to communicate within the organization.
  • Drafting and distributing email messages, monthly salary advice content, posters, and SMS notifications for SAPS personnel.
  • Coordinating communication for the SAPS internal user group and ensuring alignment with the organization’s values and objectives.
