Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
- Diploma/Degree in General Nursing (SANC R425 accredited)
- Post-basic qualification in Primary Health Care (1-year SANC R212 accredited)
- Valid registration with South African Nursing Council
- 4 years’ nursing experience post-registration
- Proven leadership and clinical decision-making skills
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive primary healthcare services
- Manage clinical operations in accordance with national standards
- Supervise junior staff and support personnel
- Implement infection control protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records and reports
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Conduct health education and community outreach
Essential Competencies
- Strong patient assessment skills
- Ability to work autonomously in resource-limited settings
- Proficiency in emergency care protocols
- Excellent communication across cultural groups
- Computer literacy for health information systems
