About the Role

We are looking for a friendly and motivated Shop Assistant Cashier to join our team at Clicks Mokopane Crossing. In this role you will help customers, manage the cash register, and support the store manager in daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers with purchases and answer questions.
• Operate the cash register accurately and handle cash, credit and debit transactions.
• Maintain a clean and organised checkout area.
• Support the store manager with stock management, visual merchandising and store presentation.
• Help with daily store tasks such as opening and closing procedures, stock checks and general housekeeping.
• Promote Clicks loyalty programmes and encourage club card sign‑ups.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety, and labour legislation.

What We’re Looking For

• Grade 12 with Maths and English scores of at least 50 %.
• Experience in a retail or customer service role (cash handling preferred).
• Good communication skills and a friendly attitude.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use point‑of‑sale systems.
• Strong numeracy and attention to detail.
• Team player who can follow instructions and work independently when needed.

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience in a fast‑moving FMCG store.
• Knowledge of stock control and visual merchandising.
• Understanding of customer service best practices.
