Job Summary

As a cleaner at South African National Parks, you will be responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness and hygiene standards across a range of facilities. This includes daily cleaning of offices, ablutions, reception areas, passages, and open areas, as well as other ad-hoc tasks as required by your supervisor.

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• 1 to 2 years of cleaning experience.
• Stock-taking experience.
• Knowledge of First Aid and Occupational Health and Safety.
• Good hygiene practices.
• Punctual, neat, and responsible.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Compliance with OHS regulations.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning of offices, ablutions, reception areas, passages, and open areas.
• Prepare boardrooms and meeting areas and set up refreshments.
• Report abnormalities and ensure they are rectified.
• Handle lost properties in accordance with procedures.
• Empty waste bins and transport waste materials to designated collection areas.
• Control cleaning materials in possession.
• Maintain a high level of cleaning standards.
• Adhere to emergencies and relief schedules when requested by the supervisor.
• Replenish consumable items (toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc.).
• Assist with stock issuing, receiving, and stocktaking.
• Assist with other ad hoc tasks as required by the supervisor.
