About the Information Regulator (South Africa)

The Information Regulator (South Africa) is an independent body established in terms of section 39 of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013. It is subject only to the law and the Constitution, and it is accountable to the National Assembly. The Information Regulator is empowered to monitor and enforce compliance by public and private bodies with the provisions of the Act.

Job Description

Applications are invited from talented candidates meeting the following requirements:

Requirements:

  • Matric certificate at National Qualification Framework (NQF) level four (4) as recognized by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA);
  • Minimum of two (2) to five (5) years’ experience in cleaning within the Public Service or Private Sector;
  • Knowledge and understanding of office administration;
  • Basic knowledge of client interaction and customer service.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Cleaning of offices occupied by the Leadership, Executives, and ordinary staff of the Regulator;
  • Cleaning of all common areas and ensuring timely replenishment of supplies in restrooms;
  • Providing refreshments for meetings;
  • Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment, electronic appliances, utensils, and cutlery;
  • Timely emptying and washing waste bins.

Method of Application

Important Instructions to Candidates:

  • All the above-mentioned positions are permanent appointments made in terms of section 47 of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

  • Attach the completed new application form for employment along with a detailed recent CV that includes contact details of two (2) referees.
  • Certified copies of qualifications (not older than six months) and an Identity Document or Passport will be requested from short-listed candidates only.
  • Ensure that the form is signed and dated before submission. Use either your signature or a valid e-signature along with your name written in block/typed print.
  • Parts A, B, C, and F of the application form are compulsory. Part D is not compulsory if the information is already present in your CV.
  • If you possess foreign qualifications, such must be accompanied by an SAQA evaluation certificate confirming the appropriate National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Level.
  • Indicate your current salary notch on your CV, particularly in the employment history section.
