Requirements:

  • Applicants must show skills in the main duties of the job.
  • Be able to speak at least two official languages fluently, one of which must be English.
  • Be a South African citizen.
  • Have no previous criminal or departmental convictions or ongoing cases.
  • Applicants will go through a vetting process, including security checks and fingerprint verification.
  • Courses related to the job will be an advantage.
  • Be willing to work shifts and extra hours.

Additional requirements:

  • A Grade 10 qualification will be an advantage. Basic literacy, numeracy, and communication skills are needed. Be able to read and write.
  • Know how to use simple machines and equipment. Be willing to work extra hours when needed.
  • Relevant courses in the field and a valid driver’s license for light motor vehicles will be an advantage.

Core Functions:

  • Keep high levels of cleanliness inside and around the workplace. This includes routine tasks like dusting, polishing furniture and floors, and removing trash.
  • Mop tiled floors and vacuum carpets.
  • Clean bathrooms and kitchens.
  • Safely store and use various cleaning materials.
  • Load and unload goods.
  • Do garden maintenance.
  • Wash and clean state vehicles, kitchenware, and utensils.
