Minimum Requirements

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice to ensure compliance with legal requirements
  • Offer procedural advice to comply with rules and orders
  • Build procedural capacity for consistent application of rulings
  • Handle claims made by and against the department to protect council’s interests
  • Draft legal documents to ensure they are legally sound
  • Advise on legislative compliance to meet all legal standards
  • Provide management support for the effective and efficient operation of the division
