Key Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise-wide risk management strategy development and implementation
- Design integrated governance, compliance, and ethics frameworks
- Oversaw risk monitoring systems and reporting mechanisms
- Manage organizational risk profiling and mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with MFMA and municipal governance standards
- Lead financial oversight and corporate governance practices
- Manage cross-functional teams and stakeholder relationships
Essential Requirements
- Relevant professional certification (IIRMSA/IIA preferred)
- Proven track record in risk management implementation
- Expert knowledge of local government legislation
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills
- Experience managing complex organizational risks
Professional Requirements
- Legal background in governance compliance (advantageous)
- Comprehensive understanding of audit methodologies
- Ability to perform under pressure with tight deadlines
