Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies
  • Design governance, compliance, and ethics frameworks
  • Monitor and report on organizational risk profiles
  • Integrate risk management systems across departments
  • Maintain financial controls and corporate governance standards
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams in risk assessment processes
  • Ensure compliance with MFMA and local government regulations

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field
  • 10+ years management experience (5+ at senior level)
  • Professional membership with IRMSA/IIA preferred
  • Expertise in risk methodologies and internal audits
  • Strong understanding of municipal financial systems
  • Excellent analytical and report-writing skills
  • Legal/compliance background advantageous
