About Parliament:
South Africa’s bicameral legislature comprising the National Assembly and National Council of Provinces. The current twenty-seventh Parliament commenced operations on 22 May 2019.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic leadership of Constitutional and Legal Services
- Provide expert legal counsel to parliamentary bodies and leadership
- Oversee parliamentary litigation and legislative editing processes
- Manage corporate legal matters for parliamentary administration
- Lead division operations and resource management
Essential Requirements:
- Active admission as High Court advocate
- 10+ years legal practice experience (minimum 5 years in public sector)
- Executive-level leadership experience in legal services
- Deep understanding of constitutional law and parliamentary processes
