Position: Chief Laboratory Analyst
Employment Type: Full-time
Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Analytical Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Environmental Science or related field
Experience Needed: 2-5 years post-professional registration or postgraduate research
License Required: Code B Driver’s License
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead laboratory operations for water/wastewater treatment monitoring
- Manage team performance and quality control processes
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards
- Oversee chemical inventory management and procurement
- Coordinate air quality monitoring programs
- Prepare technical reports and regulatory documentation
Essential Qualifications:
- SACNASP Professional Natural Scientist registration
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Bilingual proficiency (2 official Western Cape languages)
