Position Summary

  • Employment Type: Full Time
  • Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Economics or equivalent
  • Experience Needed: 5+ years at middle management level
  • Location: Northern Cape Province

Essential Qualifications

  • Must meet Municipal Regulations competency requirements (SAQA ID 48965)
  • Completion of CPMD/MFMP certification within 18 months if not already obtained
  • Advanced computer literacy and financial systems proficiency
  • Valid driver’s license (Code B)

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage financial strategies aligned with municipal IDP objectives
  • Provide expert guidance on fiscal compliance and governance matters
  • Oversee budget implementation and financial reporting systems
  • Manage supply chain processes and asset management systems
  • Coordinate intergovernmental financial reporting obligations
  • Optimize IT infrastructure for financial management operations
