Position Overview:

Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 certificate
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- 5+ years experience at middle management level
- Valid Code B driver’s license
- Computer literacy (must attain Minimum Competency requirements within 18 months if not already certified)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead financial strategy and municipal budgeting processes
- Ensure compliance with MFMA and Treasury Regulations
- Manage financial reporting including GRAP-compliant statements
- Oversee supply chain, revenue, and asset management
- Develop risk management strategies and address audit findings
- Advise council leadership on fiscal matters
Essential Competencies:
- Expert knowledge of municipal financial policies
- Understanding of mSCOA and procurement frameworks
- Strategic leadership and governance skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement capabilities
