Position Overview: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Contract Type: Fixed-Term Contract
Location: Pretoria, Gauteng
Experience Level: Executive (10+ years)
Reporting To: Chief Executive Officer
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
– Guide financial strategy aligned with organizational goals
– Oversee budget development and performance monitoring
– Design financial policies and operational procedures
Financial Management:
– Manage accounting systems and regulatory compliance (IFRS/GAAP)
– Supervise financial reporting and annual statements
– Conduct financial analysis for operational improvement
Governance:
– Ensure compliance with audit requirements
– Manage supply chain operations
– Implement risk management frameworks
Qualifications
Essential:
– Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance (NQF Level 8)
– Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) certification
Preferred:
– Master’s Degree in relevant field (NQF Level 9)
Experience Requirements
– Minimum 10 years financial management experience
– 5+ years in senior executive role
– Public sector experience advantageous
