Chief Finance Officer Opportunity – Greater Giyani Municipality

Position Details

Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time
Location: Giyani, Limpopo
Remuneration: R913,969 – R1,123,501 per annum + 4% remote allowance

Role Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics (NQF Level 7)
• 5+ years middle management experience in government sector
• Valid driver’s license
• Expertise in MFMA and municipal financial systems
• National Treasury competency certification preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure legislative compliance across all municipal operations
• Manage budget development and financial reporting
• Oversee supply chain management and GRAP standards implementation
• Advise municipal leadership on fiscal strategy
• Develop medium-term financial plans aligned with IDP
