Position Overview
- Employment Type: Fixed-Term Contract
- Education Requirement: Master’s Degree (NQF 9) in Business/Public Administration or Built Environment
- Experience Needed: 7+ years senior leadership experience (5+ years executive level)
- Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng
Key Leadership Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop organizational strategy and implementation plans
- Oversee social housing projects in key urban zones
- Maintain strong corporate governance practices
Financial Stewardship
- Ensure financial sustainability and clean audits
- Optimize resource allocation and project economics
- Monitor budget performance and risk management
Operational Excellence
- Manage day-to-day operations across departments
- Implement performance monitoring systems
- Ensure regulatory compliance and operational safety
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strategic partnerships for social housing development
- Maintain positive community relationships
- Report to Board and government stakeholders
Candidate Requirements
- Proven track record in executive management
- Expertise in public sector finance (MFMA) and housing policies
- Strong understanding of corporate governance frameworks
- Certificate in MFMA or willingness to obtain within 18 months
- Experience working with organizational boards
