Chief Executive Officer Opportunity – Department of Water and Sanitation

Position Details

Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in Science/Engineering or related field
Experience Required: 5+ years at Senior Management level in Water Sector
Location: Gauteng Province
Key Areas: Administration, Project Management

Preferred Qualifications

• Leadership certification or Executive Development Program completion
• Professional membership in relevant industry body
• Training in stakeholder engagement and water resources management

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning and operational management for Limpopo-Olifants Catchment Management Agency
• Oversee corporate governance, financial management, and regulatory compliance
• Manage intergovernmental relations and stakeholder partnerships
• Direct human resources and organizational development initiatives
• Supervise major infrastructure projects and resource allocation

Required Competencies

• Expertise in National Water Management legislation
• Proven leadership in large-scale public sector operations
• Advanced financial management skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
