Qualification: BEng/BSc in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred)
Experience: 6+ years post-qualification
Location: Pretoria, Gauteng
Registration: Pr Eng. with ECSA (Mandatory)
Field: Building & Construction
Requirements
- Expertise in geotechnical design, water engineering systems, and construction materials
- Proficiency in civil engineering contracts (CIDB standards & professional service agreements)
- Experience in traffic/transportation engineering (advantageous)
- Proven track record in design review and quality assurance
Core Responsibilities
- Lead technical evaluations for bids and tender documentation
- Conduct infrastructure inspections and integrity assessments
- Develop business cases for project funding approvals
- Oversee quality control during project execution phases
- Maintain departmental engineering standards and manuals
- Mentor junior engineers and technical staff
