Position Summary

Seeking an experienced ICT leader to drive digital transformation strategies and deliver strategic ICT services across provincial operations.

Key Requirements

  • NQF Level 7 qualification (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent)
  • 5+ years senior management experience
  • Completion of Senior Management Pre-entry Programme (Nyukela) required before appointment

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement provincial ICT strategies aligned with government priorities
  • Lead digital government initiatives and emerging technology adoption
  • Drive enterprise architecture planning and ICT governance

Operational Management

  • Oversee ICT policy development and implementation
  • Manage ICT risk mitigation and business continuity planning
  • Optimize ICT investments and resource allocation

Team Leadership

  • Manage multidisciplinary ICT teams
  • Implement performance management systems
  • Promote innovation and skills development

Essential Competencies

  • Expertise in ICT systems development and infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of public sector governance frameworks
  • Proven strategic planning and policy development skills
  • Financial management and budget oversight experience

Remuneration

R1,494,900 per annum (Salary Level 14)
