Position Details

• Employment Type: Full Time
• Location: Gauteng Province
• Education Requirements:
  – Bachelor of Law Degree (NQF Level 7)
  – Master’s in Law preferred
• Experience Required:
  – 10+ years legal experience
  – 5+ years senior management experience
  – Education law background preferred
• Professional Requirement: Admitted Attorney/Advocate

Key Responsibilities

Lead the Legal and Legislative Services division with two primary focus areas:

• Legal Services Management
  – Provide litigation support for provincial education departments
  – Advise on national/international agreements
  – Manage court cases for DBE leadership
• Legislative Oversight
  – Draft and monitor education legislation implementation
  – Administer statutory body regulations
  – Coordinate legislative compliance nationwide
