Role Requirements

  • Grade 12 certificate
  • Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in Economics or related field
  • 5+ years senior management experience in public sector strategy
  • Expertise in public financial management systems
  • Comprehensive knowledge of intergovernmental fiscal policies
  • Completed Nyukela Public Service Leadership Programme

Core Responsibilities

Budget Development & Analysis
  • Lead national/provincial budget coordination processes
  • Develop innovative financing strategies for social sectors
  • Analyze departmental budgets and policy proposals
Fiscal Governance
  • Monitor PFMA implementation across government entities
  • Strengthen financial reporting systems and compliance
  • Provide oversight for public entities in health/social sectors
Policy Leadership
  • Design poverty reduction and development strategies
  • Advise on service delivery improvements
  • Coordinate intergovernmental policy implementation
