Position Overview:
Lead transformative initiatives in South Africa’s cultural sector while driving strategic development across arts, heritage, and creative industries.

Key Requirements:

  • Matric/Senior Certificate
  • Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in Arts & Culture, Social Sciences, Cultural Studies, or related field
  • Completion of Pre-entry Public Sector Senior Management Programme (National School of Government)
  • 5+ years senior management experience in cultural/creative sectors
  • Valid driver’s license with travel readiness

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop policies to strengthen cultural/creative industries
  • Implement national strategies including Mzansi Golden Economy Programme
  • Support community art centers and cultural infrastructure development
  • Drive implementation of Cultural & Creative Industries Masterplan
  • Promote skills development for artists and creative professionals
  • Develop inclusive programs for youth, women, and artists with disabilities
