Position: Chief Director: Construction Procurement SCM

Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) in Supply Chain Management/Economics/Business Administration
Experience Needed: Minimum 5 years senior management experience
Licensing: Valid Driver’s License | Pre-Entry SMS Certificate
Location: Gauteng Province
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement construction procurement frameworks aligned with national policies
- Oversee tender evaluation processes and contract management systems
- Develop risk mitigation strategies for supplier performance management
- Manage budget allocations and financial reporting compliance (PFMA)
- Coordinate infrastructure project registrations with CIDB
- Lead procurement policy development and standardization initiatives
- Monitor contract variations and amendments within legal parameters
- Prepare performance reports for executive and legislative review
Essential Competencies:
- Proven track record in large-scale construction procurement
- Advanced knowledge of public sector supply chain regulations
- Strategic financial planning and budget management skills
- Proficiency in public infrastructure development processes
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
