Position: Chief Director: Construction Procurement SCM

Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) in Supply Chain Management/Economics/Business Administration

Experience Needed: Minimum 5 years senior management experience

Licensing: Valid Driver’s License | Pre-Entry SMS Certificate

Location: Gauteng Province

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement construction procurement frameworks aligned with national policies
  • Oversee tender evaluation processes and contract management systems
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies for supplier performance management
  • Manage budget allocations and financial reporting compliance (PFMA)
  • Coordinate infrastructure project registrations with CIDB
  • Lead procurement policy development and standardization initiatives
  • Monitor contract variations and amendments within legal parameters
  • Prepare performance reports for executive and legislative review

Essential Competencies:

  • Proven track record in large-scale construction procurement
  • Advanced knowledge of public sector supply chain regulations
  • Strategic financial planning and budget management skills
  • Proficiency in public infrastructure development processes
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
