About the Role
Lead transformative initiatives for child protection, family support, and vulnerable population services in the Western Cape. This executive position requires strategic leadership in social development programs and NGO partnership management.
Essential Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (SAQA-recognized)
– 5 years senior management experience in public sector
– Completed Public Service SMS Pre-Entry Programme
Key Responsibilities
– Develop child protection strategies and family preservation programs
– Manage services for persons with disabilities and older citizens
– Oversee R1.4 billion+ annual NGO funding portfolio
– Lead organizational transformation and financial compliance
– Drive policy implementation aligned with national frameworks
Required Competencies
– Strategic leadership & change management
– Advanced financial & human resource management
– Legislative compliance (PFMA, social service regulations)
– Stakeholder engagement & cross-sector collaboration
Remuneration
All-inclusive annual package: R1,494,900 (Salary Level 14)
