About Our Organization

Saldanha Bay Municipality is a key local government authority on South Africa’s West Coast. We form part of the West Coast District Municipality in the Western Cape Province, serving communities across our coastal region with essential municipal services.

Position Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

• 3-year tertiary qualification in Financial Accounting (National Diploma/BComm)
• 5-8 years’ relevant experience including 2 years supervisory experience
• Valid Code B driver’s license
• Municipal Minimum Competency Certificate (or commitment to obtain within 18 months)
• Proficiency in MS Office and financial systems (Munsoft preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) in Financial Accounting
• 8+ years’ experience with 2 years in supervisory role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead revenue management functions including debtors administration
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
• Provide strategic support to senior management
• Oversee service delivery objectives for finance department
• Ensure compliance with municipal financial regulations
