Job Description

TWK Agri is looking for a Cashier to join our Trade division in Ermelo, Mpumalanga. The role focuses on handling customer transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring a smooth checkout experience for all shoppers.

Key Responsibilities

• Bag, box, wrap merchandise and prepare packages for shipment.
• Compute and record all transactions.
• Count money in cash drawers at the start of each shift to verify amounts and ensure adequate change.
• Sort, count, and wrap notes and coins.
• Set or confirm prices of goods and calculate bills using calculators, cash registers, or optical scanners.
• Greet customers as they enter the store.
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change to customers.
• Maintain periodic balance sheets of transaction amounts and counts.
• Accept payments by cash or card.
• Keep checkout areas clean and organized.
• Stock shelves and label items with correct prices.
• Conduct regular stock takes.

Qualifications & Skills

• Matric / Grade 12 completion.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Previous cashier experience preferred.
• Comfortable working with money.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Good interpersonal communication.
