Key Responsibilities

• Receive cash deposits and update the relevant systems.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures to eliminate risks.
• Prepare cash for processing on the applicable system.
• Inspect containers/bags for damage or tampering and report anomalies to the Team Controller.
• Process all deposits in line with bank SLAs and SOPs.
• Prep workstations accurately for efficient note counting.
• Sort prepped deposits/notes for FDP/ACDP within cut‑off times.
• Send rejected notes to the Reject Teller with supporting documents.
• Record deposit details on a board and show it to the camera.
• Balance each deposit and report differences to the Team Controller.
• Complete production sheets and sign downtime registers for machine breakdowns.
• Verify end‑of‑day bundles and perform daily reconciliation.
• Manually check rejected notes for counterfeits, dye‑stained or mutilated notes.
• Perform cash transfers to vaults and handle shortages or surpluses according to SOPs.
• Process bulk coin deposits, teller coin transfers, and bank system integrated deposits.
• Validate system‑linked transactions and inform client services of any discrepancies.
• Escalate system downtime or delayed batches to the Team Controller.
• Process payroll and change transactions within bank SLAs.
• Maintain equipment, report defects, and obtain bank authorisation before dispatch.
• Assist with packing and unpacking of bank and ATM cash, manage consumables, and record bag seals.
• Use equipment according to SOPs and protect company assets.
• Adhere to SBV Services’ ISO 9001:2015 quality standards and ESG requirements.
• Promote the department’s values, drive culture, and support change management initiatives.

Requirements

• Grade 12 with Mathematics Literacy.
• At least 6 months of previous cashier or teller experience (advantageous).
