Position Summary

VKB Retail seeks a Carpentry Assistant to support cabinet and vanity installation projects. This role combines material preparation, tool maintenance, and on-site support for our carpentry team. Ideal candidates possess basic carpentry knowledge, physical stamina, and a willingness to learn.

Core Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification
• Proven experience with power tools (mitre saws, jigsaws)
• Capacity to lift 36kg equipment and work at heights
• Understanding of lumber grades and countertop materials
• Ability to interpret technical drawings
• Flexibility for overtime work when required
• Strong focus on safety protocols and precision work

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and measure construction materials to specifications
• Install cabinetry components and decorative mouldings
• Maintain and organize tools/supplies on worksites
• Support senior carpenters in installations and repairs
• Ensure clean and hazard-free work environments
• Coordinate with team members to meet project deadlines
