National Transmission Company South Africa is seeking to fill two critical positions within its Land and Rights department. As an Officer Land and Rights Registration, you will play a vital role in securing and safeguarding Eskom’s legal property rights and ensuring the protection of the electrical network against third-party interferences. This ensures that Eskom can legally operate its network without disruptions.

Key Responsibilities

The Officer will be responsible for:

  1. Securing Property Rights: Ensure legal property rights are obtained and documented for Eskom’s network operations.
  2. Administering Property Rights: Oversee and maintain the proper documentation and management of Eskom’s property-related legal rights.
  3. Managing Property Rights: Handle the ongoing maintenance and administration of property rights to avoid infringements or disputes.
  4. Financial Management: Perform financial management tasks related to property rights, including calculations of financial interests.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • Qualifications: A National Diploma in Land Survey, Property Valuation, Town & Regional Planning, Property Law, or Conveyancing at NQF6 level (with 240 credits).
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in Property or Land Development.

Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with property and contract law.

  • Expertise in interpreting legal contracts and conducting thorough investigations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Financial and mathematical acumen.
  • Advanced skills in liaison, negotiation, and property law.
  • Proficiency with office computer technology and systems.
  • A valid driver’s license.
