Position Summary:
We seek a Candidate Engineer to provide technical support in structural engineering projects for provincial road infrastructure maintenance and improvements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.Eng/BSc Eng)
- ECSA registration as Candidate Engineer (mandatory upon appointment)
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Skills:
- Road infrastructure structural engineering experience
- ECSA Group A Outcomes completion (include details in CV)
- Hydrology/hydraulic engineering knowledge
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement engineering solutions for road infrastructure
- Evaluate technical manuals and standard operating procedures
- Conduct research on emerging engineering technologies
- Prepare technical reports and project documentation
- Mentor junior technical staff
Technical Competencies:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/OpenRoads software
- Structural analysis and design capabilities
- Project management skills
- Regulatory compliance knowledge
Remuneration:
All-inclusive package: R761,157 per annum (OSD scale)
