Position Summary:

We seek a Candidate Engineer to provide technical support in structural engineering projects for provincial road infrastructure maintenance and improvements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.Eng/BSc Eng)
  • ECSA registration as Candidate Engineer (mandatory upon appointment)
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred Skills:

  • Road infrastructure structural engineering experience
  • ECSA Group A Outcomes completion (include details in CV)
  • Hydrology/hydraulic engineering knowledge

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement engineering solutions for road infrastructure
  • Evaluate technical manuals and standard operating procedures
  • Conduct research on emerging engineering technologies
  • Prepare technical reports and project documentation
  • Mentor junior technical staff

Technical Competencies:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/OpenRoads software
  • Structural analysis and design capabilities
  • Project management skills
  • Regulatory compliance knowledge

Remuneration:

All-inclusive package: R761,157 per annum (OSD scale)
