The Electoral Commission of South Africa is an independent constitutional body responsible for managing free and fair elections at national, provincial, and municipal levels.

Position Summary:

We seek community-oriented individuals to conduct voter education campaigns for upcoming by-elections. Successful candidates will engage directly with communities to promote electoral awareness and democratic participation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver voter education programs in assigned communities
  • Distribute educational materials and election pamphlets
  • Explain voting processes and election procedures
  • Monitor and report on community engagement activities
  • Submit regular progress updates to supervisors

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field
  • Strong community engagement skills
  • Fluency in local community languages
  • Basic understanding of electoral processes
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends

Remuneration:

Daily rate: R370.00 (subject to statutory deductions)
