Job Summary

  • Unitrans is looking for professional and experienced Bus Drivers to transport passengers safely and efficiently on scheduled routes.
  • Operate the bus in accordance with traffic laws, ensuring passenger safety and timely arrivals.
  • Maintain control of vehicle lighting, heating, and ventilation for passenger comfort.
  • Ensure compliance with company rules, policies, and safety regulations.

What You Will Contribute

  • Hold a valid Public Service Driving License (PG) and demonstrate mastery of defensive and preventive driving techniques.
  • Strictly adhere to traffic laws and avoid accidents or violations.
  • Comply with the company’s code of conduct, policies, and procedures.

Minimum Requirements

  • Qualification: Grade 12 (Matric) and relevant job-specific training.
  • Valid Driver’s License categories: CE – G, CE – PG, and C – G.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of driving experience in a similar role.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety procedures and report incidents or near misses.
  • Inspect the bus for defects and report malfunctions to the supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle at all times.
  • Adhere to traffic laws, speed limits, and company policies.
  • Record activities in log books and keep them updated.
  • Ensure passenger safety and comfort during the journey.
  • Participate in training sessions and safety meetings.
  • Report any damage to the vehicle or equipment to management.
