We have exciting opportunities in Clicks stores for Beauty Assistants who will report to the Store Manager and service the entire beauty department.

Job Description

Job Purpose:

  • To deliver excellent service by providing professional advice on beauty and skincare products, promoting merchandise, managing stock effectively, and keeping the store clean to build customer loyalty and boost sales.

Job Objectives:

  • Consult with customers, answer questions about products, and recommend the best items and services to meet their needs.
  • Drive sales in the beauty department by promoting products, cross-selling, and up-selling to meet monthly targets.
  • Monitor sales, evaluate product performance, and suggest improvements to increase offerings and sales.
  • Stay updated on all beauty products, trends, promotions, and events to give accurate information to customers.
  • Handle all operational tasks in the beauty department, including stock management, reducing losses, and maintaining high housekeeping and administrative standards.
  • Ensure visual merchandising, in-store presentation, and promotional standards are always met in the beauty department.
  • Provide superior customer service by acting as a brand ambassador, being visible, and offering friendly professional help.
  • Promote the Clicks clubcard and sign up new members to reach participation targets.
  • Increase profitability and customer loyalty by promoting private label and exclusive products.
  • Help make the brand the customer’s first choice for health and beauty by living the company values.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Essential: Grade 12
  • Desirable: Relevant beauty or skincare qualification
  • Desirable: Experience in beauty, skincare, retail, FMCG, sales, or marketing

Skills, Abilities, and Job-Related Knowledge:

  • Understanding of selling principles
  • Retail or FMCG background, including merchandising and promotions
  • Knowledge of stock management procedures
