Introduction

Are you passionate about beauty products and helping people look and feel good? Do you feel confident engaging with customers and sharing your knowledge of our beauty products? We have exciting opportunities in Clicks stores for a Beauty Assistant. You will report to the Store Manager and service the entire beauty department.

Job Purpose

To deliver excellent service by providing professional advice on beauty and skincare products. Promote and manage merchandise effectively, and maintain general housekeeping to build customer loyalty and boost sales.

Job Objectives

  • Consult with customers, answer questions about products, and recommend the best products and services for their needs.
  • Drive sales in the beauty department through promotion, cross-selling, and up-selling to meet monthly targets.
  • Monitor sales, evaluate product performance, and suggest improvements to increase sales.
  • Stay updated on all beauty products, ranges, trends, promotions, and events to give customers accurate information.
  • Handle all operational tasks in the beauty department, including stock management, reducing shrinkage, and keeping high housekeeping and administration standards.
  • Ensure in-store visual merchandising, presentation, and promotional standards are always met in the beauty department.
  • Provide superior customer service by acting as a brand ambassador, being visible, and offering friendly, professional help.
  • Promote the Clicks clubcard and sign up new members to reach participation targets.
  • Increase profitability and customer loyalty by promoting private label and exclusive products.
  • Make the brand the customer’s first choice for health and beauty by living and driving company values.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • Essential: Grade 12
  • Desirable: Relevant beauty or skincare qualification
  • Desirable: Experience in beauty, skincare, retail, FMCG, sales, or marketing
