Job Functions Accounting Industries Accounting & Auditing Specification
BDO Cape Town has a vacancy for a Senior Tax Consultant within the Tax Consulting business unit. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Leader of the Tax Consulting Division in the Western Cape and will inter alia assist in:•Tax audit reviews.
•Due diligences.
•Preparing and/or reviewing income tax and deferred tax computations.
•Drafting tax opinions and memoranda for review.
•The research and preparation of proposals.
•Identifying income tax issues arising at clients and providing suggestions on how to solve them.
•Liaising with audit partners and audit staff in relation to tax issues.
•Liaising with SARS.
•Managing and maintaining client relationships.
•Preparing and managing budgets, debtors and monthly invoices.
•Coaching and mentoring junior staff.
•Managing subordinates in the corporate tax consulting team.
•Assisting BDO to achieve its financial targets driving the BDO brand, business development, technical tax competence and client service in line with BDO values.
•The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical tax issues and have the ability to adapt to a changing work environment.

•Recently qualified CA(SA) preferable or CTA/PGDA with completed articles
•M.Com (Tax), or Hdip (Tax) advantageousCompetencies:
