Bakers Assistant

  • Job Type: Full Time
  • Qualification: Matric

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, bake, and finish bakery products according to recipe specifications.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • 1 year of bakery experience (retail experience is an advantage)
  • Short-listed applicants may need to complete relevant assessments
  • The successful candidate will be trained to handle multiple tasks and may perform up to two different jobs in a single day

  • Works well in a team

Duties:

  • Clean or assist in cleaning bakery equipment and utensils
  • Maintain general housekeeping standards as per the Pick n Pay Food Safety Standards Manual
  • Report any faulty machinery or utensils to the manager
  • Provide general help with production
  • Serve customers
  • Prepare wastage reports
  • Clean the backup area
  • Carry out any reasonable tasks assigned by management
