Auditor III (STCC: Illicit Economic Activity – Tax)

Job Purpose

To independently plan and conduct complex audits across multiple tax types and periods, addressing various risks. This includes understanding how risks affect other tax types, while ensuring full compliance with all laws and regulations.

Education and Experience

Minimum Qualification and Experience Required

  • A relevant Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Audit or Taxation (NQF 7), plus 5-7 years of experience in an Audit or Forensic Financial Investigative Audit environment. This includes 2-3 years at a functional specialist level.

OR

  • Senior Certificate (NQF 4), plus 10 years of related experience in an Audit, Tax, or Forensic Financial Investigative Audit environment. This includes 2-3 years at a functional specialist level.

  • Plan and conduct multiple tax audits based on risk profiles to ensure compliance with relevant laws.
  • Lead, plan, and conduct full-scope (integrated) audits to check compliance, then report findings and recommendations.
