Assistant to Financial Manager – Logistics Industry

A leading logistics company with a national presence seeks a qualified Assistant to the Financial Manager. Join a dynamic team managing one of South Africa’s largest privately-owned logistics fleets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process financial transactions for bonds, loans, and hire purchase agreements
- Maintain fixed asset register for 230+ vehicles and equipment
- Conduct monthly vehicle amortisation reconciliations
- Prepare VAT calculations and multi-company reconciliations
- Compile detailed monthly management accounts
- Analyze and reconcile intercompany accounts
- Implement new financial policies and procedures
- Support annual audits and BEE compliance reporting
Essential Requirements:
- BCom/BTech in Accounting (NQF Level 7)
- 3+ years accounting experience
- Advanced Excel skills (formulas, automation, complex spreadsheets)
- Thorough knowledge of IFRS and SARS regulations
- Experience with accounting software systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
