Assistant to Financial Manager – Logistics Industry

Location: Gqeberha, Eastern Cape | Employment Type: Full-Time

About Our Client:

A leading logistics company with a national presence seeks a qualified Assistant to the Financial Manager. Join a dynamic team managing one of South Africa’s largest privately-owned logistics fleets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process financial transactions for bonds, loans, and hire purchase agreements
  • Maintain fixed asset register for 230+ vehicles and equipment
  • Conduct monthly vehicle amortisation reconciliations
  • Prepare VAT calculations and multi-company reconciliations
  • Compile detailed monthly management accounts
  • Analyze and reconcile intercompany accounts
  • Implement new financial policies and procedures
  • Support annual audits and BEE compliance reporting

Essential Requirements:

  • BCom/BTech in Accounting (NQF Level 7)
  • 3+ years accounting experience
  • Advanced Excel skills (formulas, automation, complex spreadsheets)
  • Thorough knowledge of IFRS and SARS regulations
  • Experience with accounting software systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
