Assistant Store Manager Position – Econo Foods (Bloemfontein)

Position Overview:
Location: Langenhoven Park, Bloemfontein
Employment Type: Full Time
Experience: 3-5 years retail management
Education: Matric (Essential), Bachelor’s (Advantageous)
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales through exceptional customer service and effective merchandising
- Manage daily store operations including stock control and cash management
- Lead and develop retail teams through coaching and performance management
- Maintain health/safety standards and food quality controls
- Analyze sales data to identify growth opportunities
- Oversee store security and loss prevention measures
Requirements:
- Proven experience in achieving sales targets and driving business growth
- Strong leadership skills with team management experience
- Excellent communication abilities (English fluency required)
- Valid driver’s license (own vehicle preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail management systems
- Knowledge of FMCG industry practices and inventory management
